Picturehouse Cinemas confirm Ealing Picturehouse to open 20 October 2023.
After much anticipation and many years in the planning, Ealing Picturehouse – an eight-screen cinema, café and bar at the heart of one of London’s most historic film locations – will be opening its doors on Friday 20 October.
The latest addition to the Picturehouse Cinemas family, Ealing Picturehouse is set to encompass all the best that the world of film has to offer. Tickets are on sale now for Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon fresh from its premiere at London Film Festival, and new releases also include the Annette Bening-starring biopic NYAD and the 3D re-release of Alfonso Cuaron’s Gravity. There’ll also be chances to catch the year’s big hits Barbie and Oppenheimer, catch up with recent Picturehouse favourites like Past Lives, Stop Making Sense, and Scrapper, and take a trip through Ealing’s storied film history with reDiscover Ealing Studios, a season shining a light on the pioneering neighbouring studio responsible for classics like The Ladykillers – perfect to revisit on the big screen.

Clare Binns, Managing Director of Picturehouse Cinemas, says: “Picturehouse is all about showing the best films from around the world: films for everyone, young and old. So to open in Ealing, which has such a rich history of film production, is so exciting – it’s the perfect fit for a company committed to film on the big screen.
Ealing Picturehouse has been a long time coming, but we’re thrilled that the moment is here and we can open our doors to this wonderful palace of film. We pride ourselves on our carefully curated programme, but there’s so much more – along with all the classic cinema food, popcorn and soft drinks, our beers, wines and coffee, as well as our tasty snacks, are second to none. It’s the complete package.”
Ealing Picturehouse Founder Membership is on sale now. The first 1000 customers who purchase an annual Membership for the new cinema will get their names installed in the building, on a specially commissioned Founder Members’ Wall. The Memberships will also include 15 months for the price of 12, from when the cinema opens its doors.
